As part of the Khuddar Pakistan project, Telenor's Corporate Responsibility decided to assist the Ministry of Social Welfare and Special Education in revamping one of its special education vocational institutes for children with disabilities located in Gulberg, Karachi. All volunteers from the South region were taken on board and they actively contributed their time, expertise and ideas for successful implementation of this project.

The regional volunteer team immediately mobilized themselves to coordinate for arranging visits to the institute, liaise with key contact-persons and stakeholders at the Ministry and share all observations and recommendations with the CR team. The valued recommendations have been incorporated in the going-forward plan devised for the institute. The volunteers have also planned to get together to paint and decorate the institute themselves once the repair and maintenance work is complete.
