Volunteer Extraordinaire 2008 was held from 27th to 28th March 2008 and was dedicated to the Go Teams for their relentless efforts and contribution in their volunteer work. The objective of Volunteer Extraordinaire 2008 was to recognize, appreciate and encourage corporate volunteerism within Telenor Pakistan. The conference was successful in bringing together Go Team volunteers and regional directors from all the six Telenor Pakistan regions together with Corporate Responsibility on one platform in Islamabad. It helped to bring regional CR perspectives and ideas on local CR initiatives going forward into 2008.

Participants learnt multiple response skill sets to develop first response capacity when dealing with natural and man-made hazards within the response limitations established by company management and/or local government. Training included emergency first-aid care in the field, scene size-up, fire safety and suppression, responder safety, incident command system, basic field survival and teamwork.
