Activation / Deactivation Via SMS

Telenor Pakistan is pleased to provide you the IR activation/deactivation via SMS. Using this service, now prepaid subscribers can activate or deactivate their International Roaming (IR) service simply by sending an SMS to 345.


The service does not require any prior activation and can be used both while in Pakistan and abroad.


Service Mechanics:

  • Send 'IR-ON' to 345 to activate IR service.
  • Send 'IR-OFF' to 345 to deactivate IR service.
  • When customer sends either of the above commands, subscriber is requested (via SMS) to confirm NAME and CNIC.
  • These requested details, i.e. User NAME & CNIC are verified & checked for valid inputs
  • Customer is sent IR activation/deactivation SMS accordingly.

Charges:

  • Local charges of Rs.2 + tax per SMS apply when availed in Pakistan
  • Roaming SMS charges apply when availed abroad
