Employee Volunteerism

Telenor Hum Qadam

Telenor Pakistan organizes, arguably Pakistan’s biggest employee volunteerism initiative every year. First launched in 2011, the program provides employees the opportunity to positively contribute to society by participating in organized community work during office hours.

Till date, more than 54,000 working hours have been clocked by employees towards community service in areas of Disability, Education, Health, Environment and Emergency Response. The program also won the National CSR Award 2012 for employee engagement in sustainable activities.


Employees have been carrying out activities such as:

  • Bringing hope to children fighting with cancer at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust Hospital by engaging in fun activities such as storytelling, game sessions, distributing goodies etc.
  • Conducting workshops such as interview and CV writing skills, computer literacy skills etc. to increase capacity of Persons with Disabilities.
  • Distributing relief items in flood affected areas.
  • Educating children on the importance of saving the environment by carrying out recycling awareness sessions.
  • Engaging in tree plantations.
  • Carrying out hygiene awareness sessions and distribution of hygiene kits in schools.
