President of Pakistan to visit Telenor Headquarters

Islamabad January 18th 2006: President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf will pay a visit to Telenor's Headquarters at Fornebu, Norway on 24 January. The President will participate in a Round Table Conference headed by Telenor's CEO and President, Jon Fredrik Baksaas. The Conference will also include 13 other top executives of Norwegian industry and commerce. Telenor Pakistan CEO Tore Johnsen will also be present at the Headquarters to welcome the President.

The conference is a result of President Musharraf's wish to meet with the representatives of Norwegian industry, and will focus on business opportunities in Pakistan. Participants registered at the conference come from leading companies in the sectors of oil & energy, chemicals & paints, telecommunication & IT, and food & beverages. The roundtable will be followed by a brief press conference. A huge media presence is expected.
