Telenor going strong - now in 239 destinations

ISLAMABAD, March 09, 2006: Telenor Pakistan has officially opened its GSM mobile network for commercial service in 23 more destinations namely Thatta, Jacobabad, Panu Aqil, Mandi Bahauddin, KHI - Thatta - Hyd Highway, Ranipur, Kallar Kahar, Ghotki, Kot Addu, Badin, Taunsa, Dipalpur, Talagang, Talagang-PindiGheb Link Rd, Tando Masti, Taraki, Phalia, Dharbi, Bhalwal, Chichawatni-Kam-Shorkot Road, Fateh Jang-Pindi Gheb Road (Ahmedal), Sarghoda Mianwali Road and Yazman.

Speaking positively about Telenor's prospects in the local market and the customer response, Telenor Pakistan's CEO Tore Johnsen said: We are on the path of fast growth, and have already delivered on our promise of reaching 239 destinations, to which customers have responded with great enthusiasm. Telenor will offer all its commercial cellular services through a network of Sales and Service Centers, Franchises and several hundred retail outlets on central locations. In all the said cities, customers will for the first time experience the new feature, Easyload, and also be able to enjoy industry firsts such as '2nd minute low price', international roaming and 50% off on every recharge of 250 on prepaid. Four new competitive postpaid packages including zero line rent and F&F/ CUG features with very low prices will also be available. All these services have received great response from customers since their recent launch.
