Telenor celebrates Pakistan Day by reaching 252 destinations

ISLAMABAD, March 22, 2006: Telenor Pakistan celebrates with the nation on this Pakistan Day by adding 13 more destinations to its network. As the fastest growing network in Pakistan, Telenor has now reached 252 destinations, and is officially opening its GSM mobile network for commercial service in Pindi Bhattian, Hujra Shah Muqeem, Basirpur, Malakwal, Shorkot, Shorkot-M2, Kamalia, Kamalia Road, Mangla, Swabi-Jahangira Link Road, Tando Allah Yar, Hala, Mirpur Khas.

Emphasizing the commitment of Telenor Pakistan to local development, Telenor Pakistan's CEO Tore Johnsen said, At this day of the momentous Pakistan Resolution, we revive our resolve to serve the Pakistani customer better every day, help develop the telecom sector, raise market standards, and fuel the economy. Telenor will offer all its commercial cellular services through a network of Sales and Service Centers, franchises and several hundred retail outlets on central locations. In all the said cities, customers will for the first time experience the feature, Easyload, and also be able to enjoy industry firsts such as '2nd minute low price', international roaming and 50% off on every recharge of 250 on prepaid. Four new competitive postpaid packages including zero line rent and F&F/CUG features with very low prices will also be available. All these services have received great response from customers since their recent launch.
