Telenor Pakistan Launches New Brand Identity

ISLAMABAD, June 19, 2006: On Monday, Telenor Pakistan officially launched a new visual profile in the market. A symbol of movement and change, the new logo signifies Telenor Pakistan continuous evolution to help people communicate better. The new identity carries with it a set of guiding principles for the company, which will enable it to stand out from the competition in a positive, distinct and relevant way. The company also introduced its new slogan: Telenor “ the Smart Call, a reference to its new brand promise of offering more value for money to each unique type of customer. It was also announced that the company will surpass 500 destinations by the end of the month in terms of coverage.

"Today's launch is not just about changing our visual identity, but about changing the way we meet and service our customers. A new logo and profile by itself will not determine our reputation, but I strongly believe that our new brand will inspire us to focus on the customers like no one else does in the industry. Of course in many ways Telenor Pakistan already stands out. But we can go  and need to go much, much further. Our new identity is about keeping the customer top of the mind in whatever we do, and it is about evolving our organization, our dynamics and our delivery to help people communicate better," said Telenor Pakistan CEO Tore Johnsen.

Explaining how Telenor Pakistan strategy will evolve with this change in identity, Tore said, Telenor Pakistan has already been a driving force in changing the local market to the customers advantage. In a short time, the company has revolutionized the market with offers like Easyload, Unlimited Validity, simple and transparent pricing, GPRS and MMS for all, international-standard sales & service centers, a whole new sub-brand djuice, several industry first packages, and the fastest expanding coverage. With the new brand identity, we have now decided to adopt this dynamism as a complete mindset. You will soon see how we step up further to change the game with our innovative offers, providing real value for money to each unique type of customer so she can communicate as she likes.

With our newly adopted vision and values, our ever-guiding codes of conduct, and our solid principles of social responsibility and good corporate governance, we as Telenor Pakistan must lead the change in the industry from being self-driven to customer driven,Tore concluded.

Telenor Pakistan newly adopted visual profile will be visible on several Telenor buildings, sales and service centers, franchises, retail outlets and company websites from Tuesday. Other signage and material will be upgraded in the near future. Several other companies in the Telenor Group also have adopted the new visual profile.
