Telenor Pakistan and Fire Records launch Ali Zafar's new album, Masty

Lahore, 23 November 2006: Ali Zafar fans should pick up their mobiles and start calling friends. Telenor Pakistan has partnered with Fire Records to launch the music icon much-awaited album, Masty. The announcement was made at a joint press conference in Lahore today.

Ali Zafar, who rose to stardom with his debut album 3 years ago, said that while working on his new album he had to face a number of challenges, put in long, angst-ridden nights, travel to different studios in different countries, and work with all sorts of people.

What kept me going was faith. Faith in God. It kept me going in the darkest of hours. This album is about that and about the realization of our dreams that follows.

Speaking at the press conference Telenor Pakistan Director Communication Syed Hasnat Masood said: We believe in providing meaningful entertainment to our customers. Ali Zafar, who is the brand ambassador for Telenor TalkShawk, has defined a new streak of creative music which centers on powerful lyrics and a unique vitality. Pakistanis, young and old, appreciate his talent, and Telenor Pakistan is pleased to be involved in bringing out this creative effort to its millions of customers and the general public.

Commenting on the exceptional promotional campaign that comes with the release, Hasnat said: This is the first time an album is being released online in Pakistan. We will help promote the album by providing exclusive content and downloads of songs on our website. We have also partnered with GEO TV and Fire Records to provide maximum publicity to the album.

Talking to journalists Telenor Pakistan Brand Manager Ali Murtaza said that Telenor Pakistan will be running a special Masty offer coinciding with the launch of the album. Details will be announced in the media soon.
