Telenor Pakistan and LUMS to groom future telecom leaders

Lahore - Monday, December 18, 2006: Telenor Pakistan has launched an extensive business course for its employees in partnership with LUMS, one of the countrys leading universities.

The aim of the programme is to provide Telenor managers with a business-wide perspective and advanced management tools for them to become organizational strategists and industry leaders. The programme is unique in its emphasis on exploring the applicability of advanced business techniques in the telecom scenario of Pakistan.

Tore Johnsen, CEO Telenor Pakistan and Dr Jawaid A. Ghani, Dean of The Suleman Dawood School of Business presided over the programs launch ceremony. Telenor Pakistans Vice President of Human Resources Nayab Baig and LUMS Program Director Azmat Malik also spoke at the occasion. Certificate Programme participants, members of Telenor management team, LUMS faculty and Rausing Executive Development Centre staff were also part of the event.
